Supporting a long history of substantial corporate giving, Crowe Group LLP established the Crowe Foundation in 2006 to better focus its charitable giving and align contributions with Crowe Group personnel’s volunteer efforts.

In alignment with Crowe’s core purpose, values, and goals, Crowe Foundation financial support and the involvement of our people are directed at building value within the broader communities where we live and work.

The Crowe Foundation’s primary focus is youth development, a means of helping the youth of our communities to develop into productive members of society. This is a focus for which Crowe people have expressed great passion and a focus that we believe can create great long-term impact.

Crowe Foundation aligns with Crowe’s core values and goals

The Crowe Foundation is designed based on the firm’s core values:

  • We care for our communities and see value in supporting the civic organizations that provide the backbone for economic progress and the charitable organizations that provide the support and safety net for our communities’ citizens;
  • We share with our communities through the financial support of and volunteer participation with community organizations that demonstrate values reflective of our clients and the firm;
  • We invest in our communities by offering our resources where appropriate in support of the causes and needs of civic and charitable organizations;
  • We grow, as a result of the leadership development opportunities, the satisfaction of making a difference, and from our increased sense of firm and team.

Financially supporting the organizations for which our people volunteer

The Crowe Foundation’s Volunteer Investment Program’s (VIP’s) purpose is to financially support the not-for-profit organizations for which our people volunteer their time in our communities. We believe the VIP will encourage our people to get involved and take leadership roles within our communities.

The VIP will award up to $250 to qualified not-for-profit organizations on an annual basis, based on requests submitted by our people (maximum of $1,000 per person and $1,000 per organization per year). An individual can make up to four requests per fiscal year for four different organizations. The grants from the foundation will be based on our personnel’s volunteerism with the organization, level of leadership of our people, alignment with the foundation’s primary focus, and formal requests submitted by our people.

Other means of supporting our communities

In addition to Crowe Foundation grants, there are many other ways in which Crowe supports its communities. Crowe personnel volunteer their time and talent through charitable and professional organizations.

Crowe sponsors a wide variety of community-based special events and offers scholarships and other financial support to colleges and universities and offers a matching donation program for its personnel’s college and university contributions.

Additionally, the firm has sponsored matching donation programs for natural disaster relief, including the tsunami, hurricane, and Sept. 11 tragedies, totaling more than $350,000 in donations.
